ASF1984 | The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation is hosting a special mail-in signing with one of only two surviving Mercury Seven astronauts, Scott Carpenter, now through March 15, 2010. |
AstroAutos | Just seen on the ASF site the fees in the Item Description form section: - Base Signature fee: $80
- Additional Mission/Inscriptions: $25 (for up to 10 words)
- COA & photo of Carpenter signing the item: $25
Although I won't be partcipating in this signing as I got an autograph from him at Autographica, I do thank the ASF for giving us this chance - here's to them getting many more of the rare signers to participate in mail-in signings in the future! |
disglobes | What do you think of the chance that John Glenn would do a signing to raise money for ASF? I know he signs freely through the mail but I have some posters and prints that I would love to have him sign but do not want to send them through the mail. |

You would still have to mail the material to ASF to have John Glenn sign them. Though ASF I'm sure would do a good job keeping the items safe during the signing process. |
paulushumungus | John Glenn - YES PLEASE. What a great idea. |
ASF1984 | The deadline for mail-in items to reach the ASF for Scott Carpenter's autograph has been extended to Friday, March 19. |
328KF | I tried this evening to download the forms from the ASF site but was not able to do so. Anyone else having the same problem? |
328KF | Seems to be working just fine now. |
